Living in the highland provinces of Vietnam, the Hmong people are known for their weaving and textiles. The Hmong, also known as the Miao, originated from southern China and started to settle in Vietnam during the 19th century when they built hamlets in the highland regions of Ha Giang and Lao Cai provinces.This darling small stuffed dog is made of patchwork pieces taken from Hmong embroiderd cloth, and is a truly unique piece of artwork. Imported from Vietnam by Tesoros, a Fair Trade organization, it stands about 5" high. Please be aware that this is NOT a toy - it is meant to be displayed only. Each piece will differ slightly.
