Yoga Yama Sanskrit Sterling Silver & Washi Paper Necklace - Satya

This beautiful necklace features a double sided printed Japanese washi paper design set under glass in a small round sterling silver frame. It is sealed, and is waterproof. One side is imprinted with the Sanskrit script for Satya, and the other the transliteration. Satya is one of the 5 "yamas" or "restraints" of the yoga sage Patanjali. Satya is loosely defined as "truth", but it is also representative behaving in a truthful fashion, including acting true to your beliefs, as well as the acceptance that there is an underlying truth that pervades the universe (which can be called God). You can wear this piece as a promise to yourself that you will keep this behavior present in your thoughts throughout the day, and not just on the mat or during meditation.
